Morpheus 8 treats wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks, surgical scars, and more! It helps morph the aging face or body into a more desired smooth and sleek appearance. We utilize the Morpheus8, a new subdermal adipose remodeling device (SARD) that fractionally remodels and contours the face and body by stimulating collagen production of the underlying layers of dermis by penetrating deeper than all other microneedling devices. This results in fat melting allowing us to truly contour and morph different parts of your body. Pre-Treatment Preparations:
Avoid skin irritation or intentional skin tanning. Sunscreen is advisable when outdoors during daylight hours.
Discontinue any irritant topical agents for 2-3 days prior to treatment.
Arrive for treatment with clean skin. There should be no lotion, make-up, perfume, powder or bath/shower oil present on the skin in the area to be treated.
Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to treatment.
You can premedicate with Tylenol 1,000mg orally 30 minutes prior to your treatments.
Your provider may use a combination of topical and injectable numbing for your treatment. If you feel like you are an anxious person, please let your provider know ahead of time and they may prescribe something to help with anxiety.
Please inform your provider ahead of time if you have a history of herpes simplex virus. You will need to be treated with an antiviral medication 2 days prior, day of treatment, and 2 days after treatment
Post-Treatment Care:
Immediately after treatment, most patients will experience erythema (redness) for 1-3 days, however for more aggressive treatments this may last longer. Slight to moderate edema (swelling) and a mild to moderate sunburn sensation are also common post treatment and may last 1-3 days. Skin may crust and peel for 2-7 days depending on treatment settings.
Before discharge a topical ointment may be applied to the face, no bandages or wraps are necessary.
Avoid strenuous workouts/activities for 24 hours
Avoid alcohol and excess salt to help reduce bruising and swelling.
There are no restrictions on bathing except to treat the skin gently, avoid scrubbing or trauma to the treated area.
Avoid any type of Exfoliants and Retin-A for 1 week post treatment.
Wash area with a gentle cleanser.
If your provider prescribed a treatment serum, you can apply after completely drying the area.
Apply soothing ointment such as Aquaphor Healing Ointment or Alastin Nectar.
Avoid direct sun exposure to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation.
The use of a zinc oxide sun-block SPF 30+ at all times after 24-48 hours.
Multiple treatments over a period of several months may be required to achieve the desired response.
